He died on 26 Oct 1918 in Texas. According to Dean McCorcle, Archie may have died in Hunt County, Texas. Not verified. He was buried after 26 Oct 1918 in Colorado City, Mitchell, Texas. Birth and death dates displayed on his tombstone in Colorado City Cemetery. Archie was an artist and a sign painter. He traveled from town to town in his business. In the 1910 Population Census he is listed as a boarder in a home in Erath County.

Archibald may have been married twice. His brother, Dean, believed that he and his first wife had one daughter. Name unknown believed to be living Oklahoma. I have been unable to verify that marriage. His wife, Ruth Harbey, was a sister to Lydia Harbey, wife of Harlan F. McCorcle. Ruth remarried (? Hargrove) after Arhie's death. When she died she chose to be buried beside Archie in the Colorado City Cemetery.
